Family Literacy means diffrent things to diffrent people. Family Literacy refers to the interactions of parents and children using language-talking, playing, exploring, limiting, soothing, explaining, encouraging, and nuturing. With the support of his or her life, a child learns to navigate his her world with the help of language, acquiring limits, and self-control, making choices and solving-problems, commmunicating needs to others, developing emotional ties to parents and siblings, and responding to the print environment surrounding him or her.
